Last year, the announcement to cast Triptii Dimri alongside Kartik Aryan for Aashiqui 3 was made. They even got to filming a muhurat shot for it along with filming the second part for Bhool Bhulaiyaa. But in surprising news, Dimri was stated to be taken off the casting the new project would be based on. There are varying accounts from both bases, so the occurrence still stand a mystery.

In regards to a rumor that has been circling recently, triptii dimri has been stated to leave the film because of the delay that has been occuring for a while now.

Triptii's not being part of the romantic film Aashiqui 3 has been reported by Mid-Day as well. “A source confirmed to the portal, ‘Triptii was looking forward to headlining the romance but that is not going to happen now. Aashiqui 3 is at a dispute with the title and due to this reason, we are unable to set a time," She could put the blame for leaving entirely on herself judging from the report.

Source says Aashiqui 3 makers removed her from film

Now that the source has been published, it comes as a shocker wherein it is said that the producers of Aashiqui 3 made the decision to exclude the actress from the film after she shot her first look test. According to the source, “It is the character of Aashiqui 3 that determines who serves as the heroine, modesty inherent in a woman who is somewhat exposed to certain filth. The recent works of Triptii Dimri, this was firmly established by the film’s team, makes her not be suitable for the romantic film since she portrays a character that lacks purity in mannerism’’.

According to the source, the producers consider the fact that most of Triptii’s publicity stunts ceased after Animal was released to be one of the reasons why she is not eligible. For the record,” Triptii is only Aashiqui that exists, and it is the most honest love story, and its makers doubt Triptii in this aspect.” Furthermore, following Animal, there has been no hype surrounding her, also, she has not garnered a film with a decent standing alone at the box office since then.

On the other hand, while some of Triptii's projects have garnered favorable receptions, she, alongside the filmmakers, attempt to remain discreet regarding most of her endeavors. Hence, there these differing narratives makes it difficult to decipher as to what is the reality as there is not clear messages that define one aspect.

The sources in the industry have mentioned that things are slightly different, in the sense that the actor doesn’t want to wait and the makers are looking for a ‘fresh’ face now, when Triptii was selected, she was quite new, but now due to the delay in filming she has worked in two more movies.

Aashiqui 3 Ki kahani

Aashiqui 3 film mandali formerly intended to split its production costs with Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt. But then in March 2024 Bhushan Kumar said that he was the sole producer and had retitled the film to Tu Aashiqui Hai. But later it was reported in November that Kartik wanted this to be part of the Aashiqui franchise Kunis. This resulted in a delay in the completion of the film. This film is going to be directed by Anurag Basu.
