On Thursday evening, the weather took a sudden turn in parts of North India, including Delhi-NCR. Over the past few days, temperatures had been rising, bringing a sense of warmth. However, as the evening set in, chilly winds returned, making it feel colder once again.

Currently, strong westerly winds are blowing across North India, keeping the weather dry. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a western disturbance is expected to become active on February 14, bringing cloudy skies and light to moderate rainfall in several states.

Weather in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh

In Delhi-NCR, the minimum temperature on Thursday was recorded at 12°C. With the western disturbance moving in, cloudy conditions are likely on February 14. However, no significant changes in temperature are expected.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh is also experiencing dry weather. The Meteorological Department has not predicted any major fluctuations in temperature for the state in the coming days.

Kashmir & Himachal Pradesh: Snowfall Alert

In Jammu and Kashmir, heavy rain and snowfall alerts have been issued. The Meteorological Department predicts that temperatures in Kashmir will remain below freezing until February 15. No major shifts in weather patterns are expected until February 16, although some relief is possible during the daytime when the sun is out.

In Srinagar, temperatures could drop as low as -5.3°C in the coming days. Meanwhile, snowfall continues in parts of Himachal Pradesh, particularly in higher-altitude regions like Rohtang Pass, where freezing conditions persist.

Rajasthan: Dry Weather with a Cold Spell

Rajasthan has been experiencing dry weather, but temperatures have remained low in some areas. Fatehpur recorded a minimum temperature of 3.9°C, making it one of the coldest places in the state.

According to the Meteorological Department, the state remained dry in the past 24 hours. Barmer recorded the highest temperature at 32°C, while Fatehpur had the lowest at 3.9°C.

A weak western disturbance is expected to bring partly cloudy skies between February 15-17. Light drizzles are also possible in northern Rajasthan on February 16.
