
The 15th edition of Aero India, Asia’s biggest aerospace and defense exhibition, was officially inaugurated by Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh on February 10, 2025, at Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This year’s theme, "The Runway to a Billion Opportunities," reflects India's ambition to enhance its aviation capabilities and showcase indigenous innovations alongside advanced global aerospace technology.

Aero India 2025: Showcasing India's Aviation Strength
The five-day event features aerial demonstrations, defense technology exhibitions, and business collaborations, reinforcing India's role as a growing aerospace hub. With strong participation from both domestic and international companies, Aero India 2025 highlights India’s progress in self-reliance under ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ and the ‘Make in India, Make for the World’ initiative.
The exhibition also plays a key role in boosting global partnerships and supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047, aiming for a developed and technologically advanced India.
Spectacular Air Show Highlights
The opening day of Aero India 2025 featured several breathtaking aerial performances:
- HAL’s Light Utility Helicopter impressed audiences with its maneuverability at the inaugural event.
- Russia’s multirole fighter aircraft, the SU-57, showcased its capabilities with dynamic flight maneuvers.
- The SU-57 also performed a smooth landing after completing its sortie at Yelahanka Airbase.
