Sugar Cravings: Why do you think you often have an insatiable desire for sweets? Lack of Sleep

Not sleeping sufficiently could lead to sugar consumption. Sleep deprivation leads to the imbalance of leptin and ghrelin within our bodies which refers to the hormone that decreases appetite and the one that increases it.

As a result, the body has an increased desire to eat. ------ Shortage in vitamins and minerals. There are times when the body lacks certain minerals and vitamins, resulting in increased longing for sugary foods. One of them is chromium, a mineral known to assist blood sugar control. The lack of this mineral can heighten the desire to consume sugar. Additionally, the lack of magnesium in the body causes longs for sugary foods because it helps rejuvenate and energize the body.
