Mumbai: Another accused has been arrested in the Baba Siddiqui murder case. According to the information received, this is the 10th arrest in this murder case. The accused has been identified as Bhagwat Singh and he is 32 years old.
Weapons were provided to the shooters.
Bhagwat was arrested from Belapur in Navi Mumbai. He is a resident of Udaipur in Rajasthan. According to sources, Bhagwat Singh was living in the BKC area of Mumbai till the day of the attack. During the investigation, it was revealed that Bhagwat Singh had provided weapons to the shooters.
The accused was produced in court, where he was sent to police custody till October 26.
Who was Baba Siddiqui?
Baba Siddiqui was a popular face in Maharashtra politics. He left Congress this year and joined the NCP (Ajit faction). He was known for throwing grand Iftar parties, which were attended by famous Bollywood stars like Salman Khan, and Shahrukh Khan. His parties were full of big and small stars of Bollywood. He was in Congress for 48 years and was also an MLA from Bandra West thrice. He was also a state minister in Maharashtra.

Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, and Ajit Pawar expressed deep grief over this incident. The CM had talked about a high-level investigation in this matter. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also expressed grief over Baba’s demise.
