The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh is all set to introduce a comprehensive new AYUSH policy in the coming year with the primary objective of transforming the state into a global hub for traditional medicine and wellness tourism. Officials have prepared a detailed draft that includes significant incentives to attract private investment into the sector such as capital subsidies and exemptions on stamp duty for land acquisition to establish new facilities. The proposed policy places a strong emphasis on the expansion of Ayurveda Yoga Unani Siddha and Homeopathy by encouraging the setting up of specialized hospitals and wellness centers across different districts. In addition to infrastructure development the government aims to standardize the quality of treatment by introducing certification courses and setting up research laboratories which will help in validating medicinal products. The initiative also focuses on generating employment opportunities for the youth by promoting the cultivation of medicinal plants and integrating AYUSH therapies with the tourism sector to attract international visitors. By creating a favorable ecosystem for business and healthcare the state administration intends to make holistic treatment accessible to the common man while boosting the local economy through these traditional systems of medicine.
