Mamata Banerjee has expressed strong opposition to the recent Enforcement Directorate raids conducted at the I PAC offices in Kolkata. During her statement she alleged that the investigative agency arrived at the premises with the sole intention of stealing the candidate list belonging to the Trinamool Congress. The Chief Minister labeled this action as a strategic move by the central government to gain an unfair advantage before the elections. She claimed that these central agencies are being misused to intimidate political opponents and to gather confidential strategic data belonging to her party. The raid at the agency associated with political strategist Prashant Kishor has sparked a massive political controversy across West Bengal. Trinamool Congress leaders have condemned the incident as a direct attack on democracy and state autonomy. Banerjee emphasized that such tactics would not deter her party or the people of Bengal from their chosen path. The ongoing tension between the state government and the central investigative bodies continues to intensify as both sides trade allegations of corruption and political victimization.
