Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is in Delhi for a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior BJP leaders. While the meeting is set to cover a range of important issues concerning the state, it is widely believed that a formal invitation for the inauguration of the Noida International Airport at Jewar is high on the agenda.

The meeting comes as the first phase of the ambitious Jewar airport project is nearing completion and is expected to be ready for operations soon. The Chief Minister is likely to brief the Prime Minister on the progress of the airport and other significant infrastructure projects in Uttar Pradesh.

An official inauguration date has not been announced yet, but with the project on the cusp of completion, the state government is keen to have the Prime Minister inaugurate one of North India's largest airports. A grand opening ceremony is being planned for the event.

Beyond the Jewar airport, the discussion between the two leaders is also expected to touch upon key political and administrative matters. Topics likely include the state's preparations for the upcoming assembly elections, the implementation of central government schemes, and the overall development agenda for Uttar Pradesh. The recent legislative council election results might also be a part of the conversation.

This visit to the national capital underscores the significance of the Jewar airport project, which is poised to transform the logistics and aviation landscape of not just Uttar Pradesh but the entire National Capital Region (NCR). An official announcement on the inauguration date is eagerly awaited following this high-level meeting.
