It is with great sorrow to learn of the demise of veteran actor Satish Shah. He graced the audience with his compelling performances in the television sitcom 'Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai' and films 'Jaane Bhi Do Yaar', and 'Main Hoon Na', among many others. He lived for 74 years and the cause of death is said to be kidney-related issues. Veteran filmmaker Ashoke Pandit stated the kidney-related issues would have contributed to the death of Satish Shah.

Ashoke Pandit confirms the death of Satish Shah postings about the passed-away Confirmed the death of actor Satish Shah on social media. "... and great actor Satish Shah has passed away a few hours ago because of kidney failure. He was taken to Hinduja Hospital [and] a great loss to our industry. Om Shanti. Satish's resident address: Satish Shah, 201/202 Gurukul, 14 Kalanagar, Bandra  East, Mumbai 400051."  

He posted a video where he expressed condolence regarding the death: "I passed away because of kidney failure. A while ago, he suddenly fell ill at home. He was taken to the Hinduja hospital, Shivaji Park. He passed away. His body will be taken to his residence in Bandra. I will inform the people about the funeral. It is a huge loss in our industry. I have worked a lot with Satish, he was a great man."
