Suspense crime, Digital Desk : CEO Neal Mohan further disclosed that YouTube plans to invest more than 850 crores in the next two years to improve the creator ecosystem in India. He made this announcement during his participation at the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) in Dubai, speaking about Indian creators, media businesses, and artists which showcases YouTube's efforts towards nurturing them further.

Mohan stated that the purpose of this investment is to make a real difference by providing opportunities and shaping businesses in India's digital economy. "These aren't just numbers—they represent a tangible impact, carving out innumerable career and business opportunities for a young, new India,” he stated.

Broad Global Influence Make Up Indian Content, And A Growing Local Trend

Mohan highlighted the global popularity of Indian content and remarked that the content created in India has been consumed on YouTube for over 45 billion hours worldwide last year. In the past three years, the payments made by youtube to Indian creators, artists and media doling houses exceeded INR 21,000 crores.

This speaks about the rising India’s emergence as a digitally exported cultural hub with the support of You Tube which helps to market the content created by different cultures to the entire world.

The Digital Influence of India.  

Mohan was in awe of Indian creators for their ability to tell India’s history and culture to the whole world. He also highlighted the digital impact of Prime Minister Modi, who is the only leader in the world with more than 25 million subscribers on YouTube.  

Mohan's statements referred to India as a "Creator Nation" because in the last 12 months, there has been more than 100 million Indian channels on YouTube. More than 15,000 of these channels are now with over 1 million subscribers, up from 11,000 around 6 months ago.  

YouTube’s Continues Investment Plans in India  

Mohan said “YouTube transformed Indian creators’ hobbies into sustainable businesses.” The company plans to maintain investments in order to further support India's untapped digital talent and increase their global footprint.  

Its objectives are in sync with India's intent to aspire being a frontier in modern digital infrastructure, thereby improving its economic momentum harnessing content innovation.
