Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Umesh Shukla, the acclaimed director behind the blockbuster hit OMG – Oh My God!, has emphatically shut down a wild rumor circulating online that suggested Aamir Khan and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra paid him a staggering Rs. 8 crore to abandon a project with Akshay Kumar. Shukla dismissed the claims as completely "fake" and "baseless."
In a recent interview, the director expressed his bewilderment at the fabricated story, questioning the very logic behind it. "This is fake news," he stated firmly. "Why would Aamir Khan and Vidhu Vinod Chopra give me money? We haven't even announced any film." He clarified that no such project was officially in the works, making the entire premise of him being paid to shelve it nonsensical.
Shukla speculated that the rumor was likely the work of someone trying to create unnecessary "masala" and controversy for online engagement. He further reinforced that his professional relationship with Akshay Kumar remains strong, highlighting their successful collaboration on OMG.
