Why is the by-election not being held?

However, later when he was questioned about not announcing the date of the by-election on the Milkipur seat, he replied, ‘Election petition (meaning the matter has reached the court) is filed in the court regarding those seats for which the by-election dates have not been announced.’ The Election Commission has fixed the date of November 13 for the by-election in Uttar Pradesh. Elections will be held on November 13 on all 9 seats of UP.
