But do you know that once the President of the country had also broken protocol to give an award to Raj Kapoor. The President himself came down and honored Raj Kapoor by giving him an award. 

Raj Kapoor was honored by coming down from the stage

Raj Kapoor, who has won more than 17 prestigious awards including 11 Filmfare and 3 Dadasaheb Phalke, has worked as a hero in more than 70 films. Raj Kapoor has also been the biggest superstar of his time. Raj Kapoor dedicated his entire life to the art of film. Raj Kapoor said goodbye to this world in 1988. But in the same year, Raj Kapoor was nominated for the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Raj Kapoor had to come to Delhi to receive this award. But his condition was very bad. Still, Raj Kapoor was brought to the award venue with an oxygen mask for the award. When Raj Kapoor was called from the stage to give this award, he seemed unable to climb the stage. After this, the 9th President of the country ‘Ramaswami Venkataraman’ broke the protocol and came down from the stage and honored Raj Kapoor by giving him the award. 

Now the Kapoor family is celebrating Raj Kapoor’s 100th birth anniversary

Raj Kapoor’s father Prithviraj Kapoor was also a master of the film world. Taking this legacy forward, Raj Kapoor set a milestone in the film world. Raj Kapoor enriched Bollywood with his art and stories. After Raj Kapoor, all his sons became heroes in films and the era of stardom continued till the third generation. Even today, Raj Kapoor’s grandchildren Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor are among the many stars. Now the Kapoor family is celebrating Raj Kapoor’s 100th birth anniversary. On this special occasion, RK Film Festival has been organized between 13 and 15 December. In this film festival, more than 10 films of Raj Kapoor are to be shown in 135 theaters in 40 cities across the country. Raj Kapoor’s family had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding this.
