Ranveer Singh, an incredibly versatile actor of contemporary cinema, has made a name for himself as an outsider in Bollywood. He is a well-known performer who has built a remarkable career in the film industry owing to his impressive performances and charisma. He burst onto the scene as an actor, like most Bollywood lovers, being obsessed with the glittery side of the industry. He once recounted a funny story during an interview when he was removed from a film set for staring at Raveena Tandon for too long.

In an interview with Rajeev Masand accompanied by Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, and Anil Kapoor, Ranveer talked about The time he was on the set of Akshay Kumar's and Raveena Tandon's movie Mohra, which they shot during the early to mid-90s, and he was around 13 or 14 years old.

Ranveer remembered being smitten with Raveena Tandon as she came in with a white saree, but this was interrupted by Akshay Kumar correcting him that it was actually yellow. The actor would later confess that at that age he was completely enchanted by Raveena ji.

Further continuing he said, “I was staring, so it was making her a bit nervous. She motioned for one of the security guys to take me out of the studio. For me, that was absolutely devastating. I felt utterly defeated and completely shattered when I was told to leave the set. I am nearly crying, when all of a sudden a hand appears on my shoulder.”

Ranveer recalled that same day saying that was also the first when he met Akshay Kumar. He explained how in the middle of all his sorrow for being kicked out of the set, he turned around and saw Akshay and he said to him, “Nice haircut, man.” Those small acts of kindness really helped him, and he was able to capture a photo with the icon, which put him on cloud nine.

Ranveer confesses that during that moment, he did want to be like Akshay one day. Later Varun Dhawan asked him, teasingly, if he was able to take a picture of Raveena, to which he answered no, and made a disappointed expression.

He used to admire Raveena which gave him a funny moment that he still recalls and has a laugh about it. It is perhaps his unconditinol love for the industry and its stars, almost on the same level as a fan, before he began to work in the industry as an actor.

Both Raveena Tandon and Akshay Kumar star in Mohra alongside Suniel Shetty. The film chronicles the life of a journalist, Roma, and her superior, Jindal, who manages to free a prisoner named Vishal because of Roma. But as Vishal starts working for Jindal, it becomes clear that he is just another piece in the grand scheme.
