IND vs BAN: India and Bangladesh are ready to clash in a 2-match Test series. The first match of the series will be played in Chennai on 19 September. In this match, Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal will open the Indian innings while the responsibility of batting at number three will be on the shoulders of Virat Kohli. In this match, Kohli will have a chance to make many great records in his name.

The Chennai Test will be the 114th Test match of Virat Kohli’s Test career. If Virat Kohli scores a total of 152 runs in both innings of this match, he will touch the 9000-run mark in Test cricket. He will become the 17th batsman in the world to do so. Let us tell you, so far only 3 Indian batsmen have scored more than 9000 runs in the history of Test cricket. Among them, Sachin Tendulkar is at number one with 15921 runs. Rahul Dravid is at the second position with 13288 runs while Sunil Gavaskar is at the third position. Gavaskar has 10122 runs in 125 Test matches.

If Virat Kohli scores just 58 runs during the first match, he will touch the mark of 27000 runs in international cricket. He will become the fourth batsman in the world to do so. Before this, only Sachin Tendulkar of India, Kumar Sangakkara of Sri Lanka, and Ricky Ponting of Australia have been able to achieve this milestone in international cricket.

Don Bradman’s record will be broken.

Kohli will also have a chance to leave Don Bradman behind in the Chennai Test. If Kohli manages to score a century in the first Test match, he will surpass Bradman in terms of scoring centuries in Test cricket. Bradman has 29 centuries in Tests. By scoring a century, Kohli will complete his 30 centuries in Tests. In this way, he will become the 16th batsman in terms of scoring the most centuries in Tests. Kohli is currently in the fourth position in terms of scoring the most centuries among active cricketers. Ahead of him are Joe Root (34), Steve Smith (32) and Kane Williamson (32).

Kohli will create history.

In the first test against Bangladesh, Kohli will have a chance to create history not only in batting but also in fielding. Kohli will break Sachin Tendulkar’s big record as soon as he takes 5 catches. Sachin Tendulkar has taken 115 catches in Tests for India while Virat has 111 catches to his name. Apart from this, Kohli will complete his 1000 fours in Tests as soon as he hits 9 fours in Chennai.
