Mainpuri: National President of Rashtriya Shoshit Samaj Party and former minister Swami Prasad Maurya was on a tour of Mainpuri late on Tuesday night. He had come to express condolences on the death of Manoj Shakya’s mother of village Gola Kuan in Kusmara area of Kishani Vidhansabha constituency. There he targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party fiercely while talking to journalists and threatened them. Swami Prasad Maurya gave a controversial statement and said that stop looking for temples in mosques or else Buddhists will be found in temples.

If you search for a temple in a mosque, you will find a Buddhist monastery in the temple
On being asked about the Sambhal incident, he said, “Look, if we dig up old graves, it will cost a lot to those who search for temples in mosques. So, stop searching for temples in every mosque because if we search for temples in mosques, people will start searching for Buddhist monasteries in temples. History is a witness to this fact. Badrinath, Kedarnath, Jagannath Puri, Rameswaram were all Buddhist pilgrimage sites. All of them have been converted to Hinduism. If this is so, then the matter will not stop here, the matter will go further.”
Maurya asked that where did Emperor Ashoka’s 84,000 Buddhist pillars go? That is, these people broke them and built temples. So if a temple is searched in a mosque, a Buddhist monastery will be searched in a temple.
The government is diverting attention from the issues by creating a Hindu Muslim issue
In order to avoid being accountable for all the basic problems, the government is trying to mislead the people of the country by entangling them in issues like temple mosque and Hindu Muslim. So that the government’s true colours are not exposed, the government’s failures are not mentioned, there is no debate on the deteriorating law and order situation, there is no discussion on unemployment, there is no discussion on inflation, there is no discussion on caste census. Reservation is being abolished and there is no discussion on the constitution. To throw dust in the eyes of the public, the public is being misled in the name of Hindu Muslim.
Accept the status of religious places as they are
For peace to prevail in the country, it is important that the religious places of any religion in the country should be accepted as they were on 15th August 1947. For this, peace and harmony should prevail in the country. The culture here was that Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis should be brothers and take the country forward. Politics of temples and mosques is happening only where there are BJP governments.
