In the future, Varun will act in a film by David Dhawan where he will be together with Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde. This will come out on October 2. Also joining the cast is Maniesh Paul, Jimmy Shergill, Mouni Roy and many others.

He is also set for an ensemble cast in an Anurag Singhs directorial which will come out on January 23, 2026. In addition, Border 2 is said to still be in production adding to his workload.
