Starting July 27, Vande Bharat Express (22489/22490) will add a new stop at Hapur, as the train running from Meerut to Lucknow already had the stoppage at Meerut. The Railway Board has given permission for the new stoppage. This has been done for the train’s utilization given the low average passenger count and to enable the maximum numbers of people to utilize the train.

As per railway sources, between Meerut and Lucknow, Vande Bharat Express is an option besides the Rajya Rani Express. But the occupancy of the train has been low. Thus, the railways has tried a new approach to increase the number of passengers by making Hapur as a new stoppage. After the Railway Board approval, Moradabad division is active. According to Senior DCM Aditya Gupta, the Meerut-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express will now stop at Hapur from July 27. This will enhance the convenience for passengers within the Moradabad-Meerut rail section. Additionally, the railways is proposing extending the train to Varanasi on August 27, primarily to enable faster and easier movement from Western UP to Eastern UP.

Passenger train services between Jhansi and Lucknow Junction will be suspended for five days starting from the 29th.

Due to the ongoing non-interlocking work at the Jaitpur station yard on Kanpur rail section of North Railway Lucknow division, services on Lucknow Junction Jhansi Passenger will be suspended from 29th July to 2nd August. A number of other services will also be affected; 24 trains including the Shatabdi will be halted on the route, and 9 trains will bypass Jaitpur station. Additionally,  Vande Bharat Express will operate at adjusted schedules.

According to Senior DCM Kuldeep Tiwari, the passenger services 51813 Jhansi Lucknow Junction Passenger and 51814 Lucknow Jhansi Jhansi will become permanently suspended over the next five days.
