Yogi Govt Transfers 15 IAS and 23 PCS Officers in Major Administrative Overhaul
In a comprehensive bureaucratic reorganization across Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi Adityanath-led state government on Saturday, October 3, 2026, ordered the transfer and fresh posting of 15 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and 23 Provincial Civil Service (PCS) officers. Coming barely two weeks after a prior reshuffle on September 20 that reassigned senior bureaucrats including Amit Kumar Ghosh and Amrit Abhijat, this extensive reshuffling cycle impacts high-profile departments such as Geology and Mining, Medical Education, Panchayati Raj, Urban Housing, and Dairy Development (PCDF). With administrative circles closely linking the realignments to upcoming electoral readiness and governance delivery benchmarks, key district jurisdictions—including Lucknow, Jaunpur, Mau, Prayagraj, Saharanpur, and Meerut—have witnessed widespread administrative leadership transitions across development authorities and collectorates.
