Villages to join the resolve of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’; a mega-campaign of service to launch on Prime Minister Modi’s birthday: Shri Maurya
Keshav Prasad Maurya announced that, to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday on September 17, the Rural Development Department of Uttar Pradesh will conduct the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' (Service Pledge Campaign) from September 17 to October 17, 2026. The initiative aims to communicate the public welfare achievements of the Prime Minister's 25 years of continuous service to the masses and to connect every citizen with the national resolve of 'Viksit Bharat 2047' (Developed India 2047). Mr. Maurya has directed the organization of a seven-day multi-purpose 'Seva Setu Abhiyan' (Service Bridge Campaign) at the block level to ensure the speedy resolution of villagers' grievances. Under this campaign, applications for various schemes will be filled out on-site, and eligibility will be verified immediately to prevent eligible beneficiaries from facing unnecessary difficulties in accessing scheme benefits. Additionally, 'Gram Chaupals' (village-level public forums) will be organized in Gram Panchayats to hear villagers' issues directly; problems will be resolved on the spot wherever possible, and suggestions and feedback received will be compiled.
Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Maurya stated that the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' should become a campaign that carries the spirit of service, dedication, and public participation to every village, starting from the Prime Minister's birthday. He emphasized that the campaign must be conducted systematically to ensure its complete success. He directed that all preparations be completed on time and effective coordination be ensured at the state, district, and block levels so that the campaign's benefits reach the maximum number of villagers. Principal Secretary (Rural Development) Mr. Saurabh Babu stated that, in accordance with Mr. Maurya's directives, arrangements are being made for the smooth operation and coordination of the campaign at both headquarters and district levels. Nodal officers at the state and district levels will review the campaign's progress weekly and ensure compliance with the prescribed guidelines.
He further mentioned that while celebrating Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday with a resolve for service, dedication, and public participation, the campaign will highlight the transformative impact of Central and State government welfare schemes on rural areas. Special emphasis will be placed on ensuring that eligible villagers receive the benefits of various schemes and that their grievances are resolved promptly. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya has issued comprehensive guidelines to state and district-level officials to ensure the campaign is effective and result-oriented. He has directed that, alongside disseminating information about government schemes to every village, eligible individuals should be linked to these schemes and the speedy resolution of villagers' issues must be ensured. All concerned officials are to effectively monitor the campaign's activities and ensure its success through broad public participation. In accordance with Deputy Chief Minister Shri Maurya's directives, an 'Aashirwad ka Diya' (Lamp of Blessings) program will be organized on September 17—the birthday of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi—at 7 PM, involving the lighting of lamps at 'Amrit Sarovars' and Gram Panchayat locations. Additionally, 60-second reels titled 'Kahani Badlav Ki' (Story of Change)—highlighting the transformations in villagers' lives brought about by central and state government schemes—will be created and shared across various social media platforms. Through these reels, the success stories of beneficiaries and the positive changes in their lives will be conveyed to the general public.
