Union Minister of State for Rural Development praises Keshav Maurya’s work at the Vibrant Gorakhpur-2026 conference

Post

During the three-day 'Vibrant Gorakhpur-2026' conference, Mr. Kamlesh Paswan, Minister of State in the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, visited the stall of the Uttar Pradesh Rural Road Development Agency (UPRRDA). The objective of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) is to provide all-weather road connectivity to eligible rural habitations and to upgrade rural roads. In Uttar Pradesh, the scheme focuses not only on road construction but also places special emphasis on quality control, regular maintenance, and technical monitoring. Digital systems, such as 'e-Marg', are being utilized to enhance the effectiveness of road maintenance and the monitoring of ongoing projects.

Improved rural roads play a vital role in enabling farmers to transport their produce to markets, facilitating students' access to educational institutions, and ensuring that rural residents can easily reach healthcare services. Furthermore, these roads foster employment, trade, and local economic activity. The appreciation received by the agency at 'Vibrant Gorakhpur-2026' highlights the ongoing efforts to strengthen rural infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh and integrate villages into the mainstream of development.
