Suspense Crime, Digital Desk : Pilgrims will be able to reach ancient Yamtirtha in Sambhal more conveniently as the government purchased 70 meters of land for a better route.

Not only is Yamtirtha, an ancient bathing ghat of the city, being beautified by the government; measures are also being made to ensure people’s easy access to it. For better connectivity, 70 meters of land for easier access to Yamtirtha have been purchased by the administration.
Sunil Kumar, Hallu Sarai, got the deed of his land registered in the Registrar's office in return of Rs 17.84 lakh.

Previously, a single, established motorable approach road connected Yamtirtha with the city, situated in Hallu Sarai. Locals previously relied on an informally developed, shorter approach through a vacant, owned plot next to Yamtirtha. However, due to being owned privately, this posed potential difficulties in future due to an increased influx of visitors.

The deed was completed with Hallu Sarai’s resident Sunil Kumar.

Considering the large increase in number of pilgrims and tourists following the beautification work at Yamtirtha, the administration had resolved to remove this impediment to easier entry. Thus about 70 meters of land of plot number 18 was purchased by government.

The deed for the land at plot number 18 was completed in the Registrar office between Governor and Hallu Sarai’s residents, Sunil Kumar, in presence of Tehsildar Dheerandra Kumar and Deputy Tehsildar Deepak Kumar Jurail. The administration gave Sunil Kumar Rs 17.84 lakh - at twice the circle rate.

Tehsildar Dheerandra Kumar stated that soon after land acquisition, construction of better and wider roads leading to Yamtirtha shall be started, ensuring no trouble for the devotees during religious rituals and events. It is important to note that as part of Vandan Yojna, Yamtirtha has undergone renovation and beautification works costing Rs 118.35 Lakh. Maintenance of Yamtirtha has been taken over by ISCKON Organization. Week ago they also organized a cultural program there.
