Keshav Prasad Maurya sanctioned ₹18.17 lakh for the animal passage plan on the Kargara-Alaus connecting road in Sonbhadra
Under the directives of Keshav Prasad Maurya, the Rural Development Department of the Uttar Pradesh government has sanctioned a sum of ₹18.17 lakh to advance the widening and strengthening of the Kargara-Alaus link road in Sonbhadra district under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. This fund has been approved for the preparation of an animal passage plan covering the area within the Kaimur Wildlife Sanctuary and its eco-sensitive zone.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya stated that the objective of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana is to provide better and accessible road connectivity to rural areas. At the same time, ensuring adherence to environmental and wildlife conservation standards during development works is also a priority for the government. He noted that strengthened road connectivity in rural areas affords the rural population better opportunities regarding transportation, education, healthcare, employment, and access to markets.
Shri Maurya stated that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath, the state government is prioritizing a balance between establishing robust road networks in rural areas and environmental conservation. Continuous efforts are being made to connect villages via improved access roads and to widen and strengthen existing routes through the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.
