Women in Families Earning Up to ₹1.80 Lakh to Get ₹2,100 Monthly Cash Aid

Post

In a major social welfare push aimed at bolstering women's financial independence across the state, the Haryana government has formally expanded the eligibility parameters of the Deen Dayal Lado Laxmi Yojana. Announcing the administrative update from Karnal on Thursday, October 22, 2026, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Anand Kumar Sharma confirmed that the state administration has extended the scheme's coverage umbrella to include households earning up to ₹1.80 lakh in annual family income. Under this flagship welfare program, every verified beneficiary receives direct monetary assistance of ₹2,100 per month deposited straight into her bank account. The widened economic threshold is designed to bring thousands of vulnerable households into the state's direct benefit safety net, providing regular financial support to rural and urban women across all districts.

Expanded Income Slabs and Core Eligibility Rules: Who Can Apply?

The state social justice department has updated the criteria to help more low-income households qualify:

Relaxed Family Income Ceiling: Households reporting a cumulative annual family income of up to ₹1,80,000 are now officially entitled to apply and secure monthly cash benefits.

Eligible Age Group: Applicants must be between 23 and 60 years of age to qualify for the recurring grant.

State Domicile Condition: Candidates must be bona fide residents of Haryana with an established, documented stay of at least 15 consecutive years in the state.

Zero Family Member Caps: The administration has confirmed that there is no arbitrary limit on how many qualified adult women from a single family can receive the benefit, provided each individual independently meets the age and residency requirements.

Registration Window and Required Verification Documents

The registration drive is already running statewide, supported by designated district facilitation counters:

Ongoing Enrollment Drive: Official application counters opened on September 17, with district teams accelerating verification to process new claims without delays.

Mandatory Documentation Checklist: Applicants must submit essential identity, residence, and banking records, including an official identity card, an active linked mobile number, an operative bank account, a valid Haryana residential certificate, and a recent domestic electricity bill.

District Facilitation Access: Deputy Commissioner Dr. Anand Kumar Sharma urged eligible citizens to approach the District Social Welfare Officer’s office or local citizen service portals to submit paperwork and verify enrollment status.
