While reviewing the progress of the construction and registration of houses under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana with senior officials of the Rural Development Department over the phone, Keshav Prasad Maurya issued directives to ensure 100% registration under the scheme by September 4, 2026, and to complete the remaining approximately 10,000 houses on a priority basis by September 2026.

The Deputy Chief Minister specifically instructed block-level officials to share details from the eligibility list with the concerned beneficiaries and to keep them informed about their status and application details via the mobile app. This measure aims to enhance transparency and spare eligible families the trouble of making unnecessary visits to government offices. Addressing technical glitches arising during the registration, verification, or other processes involving the districts and the departmental headquarters, Mr. Maurya directed officials to establish coordination between the two levels and resolve issues immediately through video conferencing (VC), ensuring that eligible families do not face delays in receiving the scheme's benefits due to technical reasons.

The Deputy Chief Minister stated that the objective of the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana is to improve the standard of living of eligible and needy families in rural areas by providing them with permanent housing. He instructed officials that no laxity, negligence, or unnecessary delay at any level would be tolerated, and emphasized that the set targets must be achieved in a timely manner, with high quality and complete transparency.
