Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has provided assistance for the medical treatment of 15-year-old Pawan, who is suffering from a serious illness
Pawan Kumar, son of Shri Shankar Lal Saroj, is suffering from a serious medical condition known as aplastic anemia. He is currently undergoing treatment at the PGI hospital in Lucknow. The family is facing a severe financial crisis due to the heavy expenses incurred from his illness and ongoing treatment. Shri Shankar Lal Saroj met with Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya, apprised him of his financial situation, and requested financial assistance for his son’s treatment.
Taking the family's plight seriously, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Maurya acted immediately. He forwarded the documents submitted by Shri Shankar Lal Saroj to the Chief Minister’s office with a request for financial aid, ensuring that steps could be taken to provide the necessary support for the family’s medical needs.
On this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister remarked that it is a matter of concern for the government if any individual, in any village across the state, suffers from a serious illness and finds their treatment hindered by financial constraints. It is a priority of the 'double-engine' government to ensure that those in need receive timely medical care and essential support, so that no poor family is left helpless when it comes to the treatment of a loved one. Shri Maurya emphasized that the state government is deeply sensitive to the challenges faced by the poor and those in need; in such instances, every possible effort is made to provide assistance. He reiterated that public service, compassion, and bringing relief to the needy remain the government's core commitments. This initiative by the Deputy Chief Minister has brought a ray of hope to Pawan Kumar’s family, raising expectations that they will receive the financial support required for his treatment.
