Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has undertaken steps against the illegally built places of worship near the Nepal borders within the state as a recent UP government statement suggests. There the action was taken on places of worship constructed illegally on either government or private land in the bordering districts of Nepal. Within this scope, thousands of madrasas, mosques, tombs, and Idgahs were spotted and arrangements have been made to seal and demolish them. “As stated in the report, The government has imposed this ban as a result of orders issued by CM Yogi's office,” the state government issued.  

Measures undertaken in the border districts of Nepal  
An official statement by the state government reads, "the illegal places of worship has been identified to be located in the borders of Pilibhit, Shravasti, Balrampur, Bahraich, Sidharhthnagar, and Maharajganj district and action has been undertaken against them.” All these listed districts of UP touch the borders of Nepal. The following public statement of the order stated that Sameer Yogi made his stand clear saying there shall be no illegal “In the name of religion there shall be no illegal land grabbing.” Speaking of abusing the system for their own gain, a strong stance will be taken.  

For the more than 350 religious placces of worship which are deemed illegal as the standing statement of the government reads: “On the 10th and 11th of May 104 madrasas, one mosque, five mazars, two Idgahs were found in Shravasti region which are illegal on public and private land.”

These were done after giving notice of actions taken. “Apart from this, one unlicensed madrasa constructed over encroached land was razed while unlicensed private madrasa two were sealed.” Since they hold no legal licenses, the matsuas have been located and notices have been served for Bahraich, Siddharthnagar, Maharajganj, Lakhimpur Kheri, Balrampur and newly constructed gazetted Pilibhit as well. Also stated is the claim of over 350 unauthorized places of worship having been dealt with alongside illegal border control structures on the Nepal border.
