A tragic road accident has occurred in the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh where a vehicle carrying labourers from Assam fell into a deep gorge leading to multiple fatalities. Reports indicate that at least twenty two people are feared dead after the bus they were travelling in lost control and plunged off the mountain road in the Anjaw district near the India China border. The incident took place between Hayuliang and Chakla in the remote Chaglagam circle while the group was being transported for work. Search and rescue operations were immediately launched by local authorities and disaster response teams to locate survivors and recover bodies from the difficult terrain. Early reports confirmed that thirteen bodies had already been retrieved from the site while efforts to reach others continued despite the challenging weather and geographic conditions. The victims were primarily daily wage workers hailing from neighboring Assam who had gone to the border state for construction related employment. Administration officials are coordinating with their counterparts in Assam to identify the deceased and facilitate the return of mortal remains to their families. High ranking officials have expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life and assured necessary support to the grieving kin during this painful time.
