Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Trump is not losing any sleep if Elon Musk turns his back on him. The former president reiterated that he will continue to hold firmly to his tax cuts from 2017, saying that they are ‘big and beautiful’ so he would not mind battling with Musk.

At a fund raising dinner at Mar-a-Lago Resort, Trump emphasized on the eloquent expansion of 2017 tax cuts claiming it to be the strongest “big beautiful” legislation slash tax cut in history. Also reiterating its supposed benefits on the market. While stating, “If Elon turns against me, honestly, I really don't care," conveying that Musk's feelings towards him would not change his stance about what he calls the greatest achievement during his Presidential term.

This is a blatant disregard on both sides and comes as the public sees the Koenigsegg boss having deepening concern of the growing public debt that has risen due to supporting policies set during 2017. Post Musk, who was earlier inclined to support Mr. Trump, has voiced national debt problems of late and has criticized the 2017 tax slash surmising its massive cuts from government funds.

Musk also said that if Trump wins the upcoming election, he might start to lean more towards the Democrat side, especially if he believes that Trump’s policies are harmful. That’s a new approach considering that he has been tough on the Biden administration.

On the other hand, he did not seem to worry too much about losing Musk’s backing. As always, he has alternated between lauding and trashing Musk depending on the situation. Currently, he is busy trying to defend his economic record and campaigning for support for his policies.

This back-and-forth exchange reveals not only an ongoing relationship but alsos one filled with irony between two of the most publicized individuals of the current socio-political climate. Features ranging from geopolitical debates on economic policies to shifting political affiliations and the ever-growing public debt come to light. While Trump defends his tax cuts as the hallmark of growth for America, it is evident that he is also attempting to silence Musk who, unlike the former President, does exercise caution and is willing to engage in debates regarding the ramifications of such aggressive fiscal policies.
