The U.S. President, Donald Trump, has reiterated the efficiency of American national security while focusing on the recent military strikes against the Houthis militia in Yemen. **American National Security has never been stronger, to put it in the President's words. We recently executed highly effective strikes on that region (Yemen). Trump's remarks during a White House interview.
The Houthis militants represent a danger and as depicted by one specifically, “They are the people who shoot down ships straight out of the water. Anything flying through their airspace is at risk of being shot down.”
He pointed towards the Houthi forces and how they have shifted from their earlier brutal state, claiming, “The Houthis are on the run; the worst ones have been killed.” His frustration about the delay of this specific action was very clear when he said, “This action should have been taken a long time ago.” He added clarifying how the retaliation of the Houthis was, “They indiscriminately launch missiles onto passing ships, along with manufacturing missiles.”
Trump has shown once more how casually he is ready to disregard fears regarding a potential leak of classified information by clarifying “At least to my knowledge, there was no classified information. I understand they were using an app that many government officials and journalist use.”
These claims were substantiated by former President Trump stating his support for Mike Walt, director of NSA, saying, “He is a very good man and he will continue to do a good job. In so doing, Trump once again showed these double standards." He further said that “The Atlantic is a magazine that has like zero credibility that is why only a few people care about it.”
NSA Mike Waltz reiterated Trump’s media misinformation commentary when he said, “There are plenty of reporters in this town who have gotten very famous by telling lies about this President.” He corroborated that Trump officials were looking into why a specific journalist was let into the room. Discussing general security measures, he claimed, “The world owes President Trump a favour. Under Biden, America’s global shipping was put on the ice.” He also stressed the coordinated work being done within the administration, stating, “We have a National Security staff that was coordinating those efforts.”
