On Wednesday, Donald Trump’s administration filed a Supreme Court request to withhold an order made by a federal judge which required the government to pay foreign aid funds to contractors and grant beneficiaries for previously completed work.

The administration’s request was filed in response to Ali’s order, where he set a deadline for 11:59 PM Wednesday night, and reasoned that his order was an example of judicial overreach. As previously stated, the request sought to stop the Washington based U.S. District Judge Amir Ali’s order.
