Sikandar, Salaman Khan’s new action film, premiered on the 30th of March and is already doing moderately well in the box office.

The movie managed to earn around 26 crores within the first day in the box office. Sikandar then continued to perform well throughout the Eid holiday, earning an additional 29 crores during that time. This brings the grand total earnings to 55 crores.

On day two of the movie, the morning occupancy was 8.38% while the afternoon was higher at 26.70%. The evening escalated even further at 30.18% and the latter half of the night was 33.12%.

Salman Khan films are the reigning monarchs of the box office during Eid and for good reason.

The film has not received the best attention and criticism as many argue that Sikandar Khan did not give his best effort.

Abhishek Srivastava, a reviewer at Money Control remarked: “‘Sikandar’ strives for greatness but ends up doing a mediocre job at everything, portraying style without substance, and actions devoid of effects. Not even Salman Khan's grand presence can save this lackluster show that is burdened by a feeble script, archaic narrative, and bland, forgettable performances that do not resonate with viewers at all.” \

In Sikandar, Salman Khan stars opposite the gorgeous Rashmika Mandanna. The film is both directed by A.R. Murugadoss, who is a phenomenal storyteller, and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. \

Since March 30, the film has been doing well in theaters.
