Current Weather Forecast: During the first week of April, heat is on the rise. In the case of Delhi NCR, the temperature is also rising exponentially. Moreover, there might be severe thunderstorms in Uttar Pradesh Bihar. In addition, rain is expected along with snow in the hill states of Himachal as well as Jammu and Kashmir. Extreme heat will also be observed in Rajasthan and Gujarat for the time being.

Alert for Heat Wave In These Countries 


The Meteorological Department predicts a heat wave in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, and Western Shri Pradesh as well as Himachal Pradesh. Delhi may see the temperature rise to 42 degree celsius. Between April 6 to 7 2025, Delhi is also expected to witness a temperature rise to 42 degree celsius. There are expected to be 10-11 days of heat wave in Bihar, Jharkhand, Punjab, Rajasthan, U.P, M.P, Odisha, Maharashtra and even Uttar Pradesh.

Rise in Weather In Delhi UP nd Rajasthan


The climatological data center registered a minimum temperature of 19.5 degree Celcius for Delhi on the 5th of April for the year 2025 which is 0.7 exceeded the overall seasonal mean. A forecast was also provided stating that Delhi’s maximum temperature is predicted to reach 39 degree Celsius.

Also, clouds are predicted in 10 other districts of UP including Lucknow. Here winds are expected to blow at a speed of 30 Kilometers per hour. The Meteorological Department has also predicted severe heat and heat waves in the state of Rajasthan. The south-western areas of the state can reach temperatures between 44 to 45 degrees by early April from 6 to 7, 2025.

What will the climate be in the mountains?

Several regions such as Lahaul Spiti, Kullu, Chamba, Kinnaur and Kangra are expecting rainfall and snow from the 8th of April 2025 and also expecting snow. The snow is expected to accompany rainfall too. Jammu and Kashmir is expecting rainfall from the 9th of April 2025 as well. Most parts of the state are recording maximum temperature of around 20 degrees Celsius. The temperature is quite high in Uttarakhand but the Meteorological Department is predicting light rain in the Chamoli and Uttarkashi districts.
