Suspense crime, Digital Desk : New Delhi, India – Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) chief Jayant Chaudhary has launched a sharp critique against his former allies, using a recent bipartisan diplomatic mission to Afghanistan to explain his departure from the opposition's INDIA bloc.
Chaudhary praised the Modi government for including senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor in a high-level parliamentary delegation to Kabul. The mission, dubbed "Operation Sindoor," was organized to oversee the return of sacred Sikh and Hindu scriptures from Afghanistan to India.
Both Chaudhary and Tharoor were part of this significant diplomatic effort, led by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar.
Speaking on the initiative, Chaudhary hailed it as a model of inclusive governance. "This is a prime example of how the opposition should be engaged on matters of national importance," he stated. He applauded the government's decision to include a prominent opposition voice like Tharoor, showcasing a united front on the world stage.
However, he pivoted this praise into a direct attack on the Congress party's political strategy. Chaudhary condemned what he described as the party's tendency for "blanket criticism," arguing that their constant opposition to every government action, regardless of merit, is counterproductive.
"A strong opposition is vital for democracy, but its role isn't just to criticize everything blindly," Chaudhary asserted. He framed his recent decision to quit the INDIA bloc and join the BJP-led NDA as a move away from this negative approach. "This is precisely why I left. There was no room for acknowledging good work; the only agenda was to oppose."
By highlighting the government's collaborative gesture and contrasting it with the Congress's alleged negativity, Jayant Chaudhary is not only justifying his political switch but also positioning himself as a more constructive and pragmatic political partner within the ruling NDA coalition.
