India vs Bangladesh 1st Test: BCCI has announced the playing eleven for the first Test match against Bangladesh. Star players like Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant have returned to it. Yash Dayal, who played for RCB in IPL, has got a chance in the Test team for the first time. The responsibility of captaincy has been handed over to Rohit Sharma. The series against Bangladesh is very important in terms of the World Test Championship. Four spinners including Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, and Axar Patel have got a chance in the team for the Test series against Bangladesh. Now the biggest question in front of the team management and captain Rohit Sharma is who to give a chance in the playing eleven and who not? These four players can win the match for Team India on their own and have shown it before.
1. Ravichandran Ashwin
Ravichandran Ashwin made his Test debut for the Indian team in 2011 and after his debut, Team India has not found a better spinner than him in Indian conditions in the last decade. Ashwin understands the conditions very quickly and bowls accordingly. It is not easy for any player to escape his carrom ball.
In the history of Test cricket, he is the second-highest wicket-taker for Team India. So far, he has taken 516 wickets in 100 Test matches for Team India. The special thing is that he also bats well in the lower order. He has five centuries in Test cricket and has scored a total of 23309 runs. For this reason, any captain in the world would want to include him in his team and play eleven.
2. Ravindra Jadeja
Ravindra Jadeja made his Test debut for the Indian team in 2012 under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Jadeja is a hit in all three departments – bowling, batting, and fielding. While playing in India, he takes full advantage of the pitch and completes the overs quickly. He has defeated big batsmen with the magic of his spin. His agility is worth watching on the field. He has so far taken 294 wickets in 72 Test matches for Team India. Jadeja scores runs quickly while batting. He has so far scored four centuries for the Indian team and has scored 2036 runs.
3. Axar Patel
Axar Patel made his Test debut for the Indian team against England in 2021 and he was able to perform well in his debut series. He then took 27 wickets in 3 matches. He has taken a total of 55 wickets in 14 Test matches so far. He is also a batting all-rounder in place of Ashwin-Jadeja. He has 646 runs to his name. Whenever Axar has got a chance in the last few times, he has made the most of it. But he can get a chance in the playing XI against Bangladesh only when the captain and management play three spinners.
4. Kuldeep Yadav
Among the spinners included in the first Test match against Bangladesh, Kuldeep Yadav has played the least number of Test matches. He made his Test debut for the Indian team in 2017. Many times he did not get a place in the playing eleven due to the presence of Ashwin and Jadeja. He has taken 53 wickets in 12 Test matches so far. But he is not that effective in batting. For this reason, it seems difficult for him to come into the playing eleven.
