To meet today’s emission standards, RX100 is expected to be engineered to 225cc’s with a modern two-stroke engine. The aim is to meet the breathtaking standards of the original while being clean and efficient.
The design aspects pay homage to RX100’s classic beauty. RX100’s sleek, muscular, straightforward design is most likely to remain while more modern elements will be integrated. Expect bright LED headlights and taillights, as well as a fully digital dashboard replacing the old analog dials.
The bike’s safety features will also be a top priority. Its powerful engine alone will demand modern-day braking performance, so a dual-channel ABS will most certainly be standard.
The timeline for the relaunch is predicted to be around 2025 to 2026. Yamaha does state that their main priority is to get it right as far as building a worthy successor to the RX100 legend. The bike is expected to be priced around ₹1.25 to ₹1.50 lakh.
