Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Mumbai, India – The anxiety and anticipation for thousands of Class 10 graduates across Maharashtra are set to end today. The first merit list for First Year Junior College (FYJC), or Class 11, admissions for the academic year 2025-26 will be officially released today at 5:00 PM.
This crucial list will determine the college allotments for students in major regions, including Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, and Amravati. Students who have completed their application process can check their results on the official centralised admission portal: 11thadmission.org.in.
The FYJC admission process is a gateway for students to secure a seat in the Science, Commerce, or Arts streams in junior colleges across the state.
How to Check the FYJC First Merit List:
- Visit the official website for your region (e.g., mumbai.11thadmission.org.in for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region).
- Log in to the student portal using your unique Application ID and password.
- Once logged in, your allotted college and stream will be displayed on your dashboard.
- Carefully check the details of the allotted college.
- If you are satisfied with the allocation, you must proceed to "Confirm Admission" through the portal.
What Happens After the Allotment?
It is critical for students to understand the next steps:
- First Preference Rule: If a student is allocated the college that was their very first preference, they must confirm their admission. Failing to do so will result in them being blocked from participating in subsequent regular admission rounds.
- Other Preferences: If a student is allotted a college that was not their first preference, they have the option to either confirm the admission or wait for the second and third merit lists in hopes of getting a higher-preference college.
- Admission Deadline: Students who wish to confirm their seats must complete the admission process at their allotted junior college within the stipulated deadline, which will be announced along with the merit list.
This first merit list marks the beginning of the academic journey for lakhs of students as they transition from school to junior college.
