In a recent appearance on Raunaq Rajani’s YouTube show, RelationSh!t Advice, actress Mrunal Thakur—who is currently busy promoting her upcoming film 'Do Deewane Seher Mein'—shared a personal and revealing anecdote about the toll insecurity can take on a relationship.

The actress, known for her grounded personality, recounted a story from the early days of her career, specifically while she was filming the 2019 blockbuster 'Super 30' alongside Bollywood’s Greek God, Hrithik Roshan.

The Self-Imposed Transformation

Mrunal revealed that her then-boyfriend, a Scandinavian man, began feeling immense pressure due to her glamorous surroundings.

The Trigger: Seeing Mrunal share screen space with "conventionally good-looking men" like Hrithik Roshan and later Shahid Kapoor.

The Reaction: In an attempt to "catch up" with the fitness levels of Bollywood leading men, her partner underwent a drastic transformation. He hit the gym aggressively and lost nearly 15–17 kg, building significant muscle mass.

The "Catch-Up" Crash

However, the physical change wasn't driven by self-love, but by fear. Eventually, the mental strain became too much for him.

The U-Turn: Mrunal noticed that he suddenly stopped working out and began overeating, eventually gaining back 20 kg.

The Reason: When she confronted him about the sudden change, his response was heartbreakingly honest: "I'm just tired of catching up."

Mrunal’s Take: Insecurity is a Solo Battle

Reflecting on the relationship, Mrunal emphasized that she never requested or required her partner to look a certain way."I never asked him to lose weight. It was his insecurity that I was hanging around with such good-looking men. I never made him feel like I needed to date a man who has muscles."

The actress used the story to highlight how common it is for partners of actors to feel outshined or threatened, even when the actor themselves is focused purely on their craft.

A Busy Month for Mrunal

This candid disclosure comes at a time when Mrunal is already making headlines for multiple reasons:

The Big Release: Her film 'Do Deewane Seher Mein', co-starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is set to hit theaters on February 20, 2026.

The Rumor Mill: She recently shut down viral AI-generated wedding clips and rumors linking her to Tamil superstar Dhanush, calling the misinformation "scary" and “clickbait.”
