Hyderabad, Telangana Factory Blast Update:  The number of confirmed casualties at the Sigachi Industries pharmaceutical blast in Sangareddy District on June 30 has reached 42, as police identified remains of one of the victims through DNA testing last week. While conducting an autopsy for one of the deceased, doctors confirmed another death caused by the explosion, increasing the count to two.


The explosion claimed eight additional lives, with survivors reporting those workers missing. The remaining pieces will be extracted and sent off, result analysis of yesterday’s and today’s human remains along with family comparisons can verify the missing numbers claim and subsequently decrease the registered figure, as shared by the forensic specialists.


Till Sunday, the hospitals reported that around sixteen individuals were still receiving treatment, while roughly fourteen had fully healed. Of the forty bodies that were processed, family postmortem identification enabled separting 40 people, who otherwise anonymous mass funerals, issued to their families. Contrarily, officials were suggesting around 143 employees at the time of accident and roughly 61 appeared to have successfully evacuated.
