The culmination of Celebrity MasterChef had participants revealing their emotions and memories associated with food in one single intertwining moment.
One of the most sincere moments was Tejasswi Prakash speak about her dream of having a restaurant and being a Michelin star chef one day, a passion that she says emerged because of Karan Kundrra, her partner.
Karan played a huge role in my life. Everything I dream of today, including Michelin stars, can be credited to him. During my meetings, Karan always assured me that he would open doors for me. He said, ‘Baby I will open it for you and one day I promise, you will do so good that you will get a Michelin star.’ After receiving encouragement from him, my dreams did become a reality.
In response to Sanjeev Kapoor's question about whether she would ever consider managing a restaurant herself, Tejasswi said, “I wanted to do it in partnership or franchisee and learn on the go,”. Clearly, owning something independent was not an option.
In what can be called the most emotional and kindest moment of the entire show, Janis called Tejasswi, encouraging her to keep his number close to her heart saying she can contact him for guidance at any point. It was a staggering moment for Tejasswi as she broke down saying “I am going to hold on to this and call you to clear my doubts. This is huge,” sanjeev's words gave ilana the support she needed. The entire audience could clearly see just how strong her love for food is and her willingness to learn.
Also emotional was the pre-finale episode, where the contestants' families showed up to support them. An iconic moment was Karan Kundrra's shock visit, who brought the famous panda jacket for Tejasswi. “This is a good luck charm from me,” Karan informed. “We were doing a show together, it was my jacket and I had given it to Teju then. It was with her, but right now it was at my home and she had forgotten about it.”
Tejasswi’s preparation of the finale dish marked the culmination of her journey, and she seemed to possess every crucial element—talent, passion, love, and, most importantly, the guidance of the best chef in the country.
