Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said on Wednesday that his government is aiming to double the state’s economy to $350 billion in the next five years. He was addressing a meeting with a delegation from Singapore at the Secretariat here. He said that we aim to double Rajasthan’s economy from $180 billion to $350 billion in the next five years. He said, “As per Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal of Developed India-2047, we are also working for Developed Rajasthan-2047 and Singapore can become our very important partner in this.”

According to the official statement, while welcoming the delegates from Singapore, he said that the culture of Rajasthan has been of ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’ and Rajasthan is famous all over the world for its unique culture and heritage. He said that Singapore is a very important partner of Prime Minister Modi’s ‘Act East Policy’ and Singapore has inspired the world with its economic model. The Chief Minister said that unprecedented work is being done in various sectors including health, water conservation, and industry in Rajasthan. To provide accessible health services to the people of the state, “We have given 8.26 percent of the total budget to the health sector. At the same time, water conservation is being promoted in the state through ‘Catch the Rain’ and Chief Minister Jal Swavalamban 2.0.”
Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit
Sharma said that to open new investment opportunities for the world in the state, we are going to organize the ‘Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit’ from 9th to 11th December. Under this conference, MoUs worth Rs 20 lakh crore have been signed so far. Sharma also invited the delegation of Singapore to this. Senior Minister of State for Digital Development and Information of Singapore, Janil Puthucheary, Senior Minister of State from Prime Minister’s Office Desmond Tan Kok Meng, Minister of State for Education and Manpower Gen Seo Huang, Senior Parliamentary Secretary from Education and Finance Ministry Shawn Huang and Members of Parliament Ji Yao Kwan, Rachel Og, and Saktiadi Supaat were present in the meeting. Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari and Dr. Prem Chand Bairwa, Industry Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Medical Minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar, Public Health Engineering Minister Kanhaiya Lal, Water Resources Minister Suresh Singh Rawat were also present on this occasion.
