The Tamil Nadu Cabinet has embraced and adopted the Tamil Nadu Space Policy. The policy is expected to generate investments to the tune of ₹10,000 crore for Tamil Nadu in the subsequent five years, as noted by the State Industries Minister T.R.B. Rajaa.
The move is aimed at improving the state’s industrial stature, but also seeks to develop direct employment opportunities to the tune of 10,000 jobs through the development of a skilled talent pool needed to support businesses in the space industry.
Focus of the Policy Relates to The Manufacturing and Professional Services Including Technology
Unlike the rest of the policies aimed at manufacturing, this one aims at supporting space-tech services and further innovation for downstream developments.
