Suspense crime, Digital Desk : The father of a medical student who was brutally murdered at RG Kar Medical College has spoken out with anguish and fury following the alleged gang-rape of a law student in Kolkata, placing the blame squarely on the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government for its failure to ensure women's safety.

In a powerful and heartbreaking statement, he expressed his deep frustration, remarking, "Such incidents keep happening." His words carry the immense weight of personal tragedy, as he continues to fight for justice for his own daughter. He lamented the deteriorating law and order situation in West Bengal, stating that the government seems incapable of protecting its daughters.

His outcry was triggered by a horrific new case where a first-year law student was allegedly gang-raped, filmed, and blackmailed by fellow students reportedly associated with the Trinamool Chhatra Parishad (TMCP), the student wing of the ruling party. The victim, who had moved to Kolkata from a nearby district to pursue her studies, was allegedly assaulted in a hostel room.

The grieving father drew a direct parallel between the new atrocity and the unresolved horror his own family has endured. "I am still waiting for justice," he said, highlighting a perceived culture of impunity that he believes enables such heinous crimes to recur.

The incident has ignited a political firestorm, with the opposition BJP also condemning the TMC government for fostering a climate of fear and lawlessness. The father's pained voice, however, rises above the political fray, serving as a devastating reminder of the human cost of a system that he and many others feel has failed to protect its most vulnerable.
