Defending champions India delivered a breathtaking masterclass on the hockey turf, thrashing arch-rivals Pakistan 19-0 in Moqi, China on Thursday to secure a resounding entry into the semi-finals of the Women's Junior Asia Cup. Carrying forward an exceptional run of form after topping their group with commanding victories against formidable opponents like Japan, Malaysia, and South Korea, the Indian squad left zero room for doubt. Following a fiercely contested, goalless draw against hosts China earlier in the tournament, the young Indian team channeled complete offensive dominance against Pakistan, setting the stage for a high-stakes clash against the winner of the South Korea-Malaysia match as they chase a third consecutive appearance in the tournament finals since 2023.

Relentless Goal Scoring Spree and Star Performances

The onslaught began early and never relented. Forward Pooja Sahu opened the scoring account for India in the seventh minute, sparking an unprecedented flurry of goals that completely overwhelmed the Pakistan defense.
