Suspense crime, Digital Desk : During her prime in the 1990s, Bollywood actress and film star Sonali Bendre discussed the personal and professional challenges that she went through at the beginning of her acting career. Recently, she gave an interview with Timws Now where she shared how she coped up with the media's attention and the incessant chatter surrounding her supposed affairs with male co actors.
Controlling Media Narratives and Industry Pressures
Sonali Bendre voiced her concerns over the numerous incidents of link up stories during that period and their negative impact on female actors. She mentioned that these rumors were a staple treatment as long as one chose to work under the glaring sun. She said, “You learn to grow slightly thicker skin,” explaining how past experiences taught her better ways of dealing with her own indiscretions. “I didn’t do the same thing twice.”
Childhood Emotional Intelligence and Adaptability
Recalling her childhood, Sonali stated that her adaptability was a consequence of a nomadic lifestyle having to relocate due to family reasons. Changing schools built her emotional resilience and independence, qualities that were later quite useful in the film industry. She believed that these experiences and helped her ignore the negative influences as well as the need tos always seek validation.
The Composition of the Media’s Stories
“Those Stories are True, But They Are Sometimes a Product of Scrupulous Wording.” Sonali explained further, “Sometimes, a writer has absolutely no idea what he is talking about.” She also remarked on how some narratives were crafted by producers or even actors seeking publicity or personal acceptance. “The same environment was giving me fame, money, and work,” she said while justifying why speculation had in fact and to some a degree was there in this realm.
What Has Already Been Done and What is Tentatively Scheduled
Recently, Sonali played herself in Be Happy, a new movie by Remo D'Souza which is now available on Prime Video and stars Abhishek Bachchan, Nora Fatehi, and Innayat Verma. Sonali is also set for another part in a web series directed by Prosit Roy which co-stars Ali Fazal.
