New Delhi: Social activists have been protesting outside Ladakh Bhawan for the last several days. Other people have also joined the protest with them. On Sunday, Delhi Police detained Sonam Wangchuk and 20 others for protesting. Delhi Police officials said that Sonam Wangchuk and about 20 to 25 people protesting with him have been detained. They said that all the people were being taken to Mandir Marg police station. Given the matter and to maintain law and order, a heavy police force has been deployed on the spot.

There was no permission to protest

A senior..r Delhi Police official said that the protesters have not been allowed to sit outside Ladakh Bhawan. The police officer said, “They have applied to protest at Jantar Mantar. Their application is being considered. They are not allowed to protest at any other place. We have detained some people who will be released soon.” At present, the protesters have been sent to the police station. At the same time, some protesters say that they were not protesting, but were sitting peacefully.
