Madhya Pradesh is coping with a severe heatwave across the state, with temperature anomalies heading northeast. The Meteorological Department has warned of a heatwave with a yellow alert for 21 districts. All commuters are struggling to step outside due to the increase in temperatures.
Bhopal registered alarming figures with a maximum daytime temperature of 40.6 degrees Celsius. Ratlam suffered even worse conditions with extreme temperatures reaching 44.2 degrees Celsius, with Chhindwara also not faring well at 41.0 degrees Celsius.
The weather department also predicts a spell of partly cloudy skies with chances of thunderstorms and light rain or drizzle over Chhindwara, Mandla, Balaghat, and Seoni districts on April 26 and 27.
Districts Under Heatwave Alert
The attention has been focused towards Betul, Narmadapuram, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Ratlam, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Gwalior, Bhind, Morena , Satna Umaria Chhindwara, Pandhurna Balaghat Panna Damoh Sagar Chhatarpur Tikamgarh and Niwari, as these are the districts that have been put under alert.
The residents of these regions have been advised to take appropriate steps by consuming enough fluids to stay hydrated and avoiding going out in extreme excess heat due to the chances of heat illness.
