Ricky Rai, Son of Late Gangster Muthappa Rai, Shot at in Karnataka's Bidadi:

The shooting of Ricky Rai whom is the son of infamous gangster N Muthappa Rai, has sparked controversy because Jaya Karnataka's founder business in Bidadi . This occurred on Rai's residence over the weekend and police in the local area have been called for further investigations.

Details of the Incident

According to police reports, the driver liscense plate indicated that the SUV was around the Bidadi region at 1:30AM which suggests they were travelling to Bengaluru. Eyewitness claims suggest unidentified attackers started firing upon the SUV. With this attack the driver and Ricky Rai also sustained injuries. The bullet that hit the driver also hit the passenger seat which was occupied by Ricky Rai.

He was taken to a local medical facility and then transferred to Manipal Hospital where he is currently being treated. Following this he is expected to recover.

Statements made by the superintendent of police validate that the funds to treat attacker of these expenses need to be borne. Initially it has been agreed that Rai will be paid 5 crore for the injuries he sustained agaimst most of the injuries he avoided.

Full investigations are underway after several cases were filed due to violent behaviours witnessed. Among these, a few of the most important steps taken suggest that video surveillance during the period of active shooting is being analyzed extensively in hopes of identifying the suspect.

Background on Muthappa Rai

N Muthappa Rai was a prominent name in the underworld of Bengaluru in the late 1990s and early 2000. Ricky Rai is his son. Rai who at one point of time was touted as the most powerful crime lord of the city later claimed that he had ‘changed’ and sanitized himself from his past.

Rai succumbed to brain cancer on May 15, 2020.
