Suspense crime, Digital Desk : The rumor mill surrounding Nitesh Tiwari's highly anticipated magnum opus, Ramayana, has been put to rest. Recent reports have officially debunked widespread speculation that veteran actor Anil Kapoor and the versatile Vikrant Massey were set to join the film's already star-studded cast.

For weeks, chatter suggested that Anil Kapoor was being considered for the pivotal role of Dashrath, the father of Lord Ram. Simultaneously, it was rumored that Vikrant Massey had been roped in to portray Lakshman, Ram's devoted brother. These rumors gained traction as excitement builds for what is poised to be one of Indian cinema's most ambitious projects.

However, new reports clarify that neither actor is involved in the film. The role of Dashrath has reportedly been filled by Arun Govil, an actor famously beloved for his portrayal of Lord Ram in the iconic 1987 television series of the same name. This casting choice adds a layer of nostalgic significance to the project. The actor for the role of Lakshman has not yet been officially announced.

This clarification helps solidify the confirmed cast, which is already a powerhouse of talent. Ranbir Kapoor is set to lead the film as Lord Ram, with Sai Pallavi portraying Sita. The ensemble includes Kannada superstar Yash as the antagonist Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi.

With filming reportedly underway, this official correction shifts the focus back to the confirmed lineup as the team works to bring the ancient Hindu epic to the big screen on an unprecedented scale.
