This operation was conducted due to the Pahalgam incident which took place on April 22, where 26 civilians were killed.

The veteran actor still paid tribute to the Indian Armed Forces for their relentless struggle towards securing the nation. He noted their fight and resilience in defense of the country.
Statement at Chennai International Airport
The remarks were made by Rajinikanth during an interaction with journalists at Chennai International Airport on Sunday, while he was on his way to the shooting of his upcoming movie, Jailer 2. Those were the first remarks he had made about the operation after previously commenting on it on social media.
A Powerful Display of Loyalty
While speaking to the media, Rajinikanth remarked, “I extend my praise to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and also to Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. To our triforce personnel and troops, kudos for performing this combat with level of finesse, tactical force, and energy.”

On May 7, Rajinikanth had pledged allegiance along with the rest of the populace immediately after the retaliatory strike was undertaken by India. He stated his endorsement of the leaders as well as the operation on X (previously Twitter) by posting:
